A mother is not just something you become, it’s something you learn.

There is so much focus on birth and the baby as you cross the threshold of motherhood, but the rest, you’re often left to figure out on your own.

That’s where I come in ↓

The early days of motherhood are about learning and not just instinct and bonding, as social media would have you believe.

Learning how to meet your baby’s needs. Learning how to balance your own. Learning how to navigate the mental load, shifting family dynamics, and the inevitable exhaustion that comes with the new motherhood whirlwind.

My role is to support you in building those skills, whether you’re preparing for birth, recovering postpartum, or navigating early motherhood with additional challenges like chronic illness or disability.

With my support, you’ll get what you need to feel prepared, capable, and confident in your new role as a mother.

“The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new."

OSHO

I can support you both antenatally and postnatally with:

  • Understanding Matrescence - the journey to and through Motherhood.

  • Learning more about biologically normal infant sleep and behaviour.

  • Establishing postpartum care support.

  • Ways to maximise your rest, recovery, and sleep.

  • Breastfeeding education and resources.

  • Recovery following a birth injury.

  • Relationship dynamics and division of labour.

  • Developing infant care skills (including tailored support for parents navigating disability or chronic illness).

  • Establishing boundaries with family or friends.

  • Bonding with baby. Expectations of motherhood. Home and nursery set-up.

Think of it as learning the art of mothercraft.
